Out this month is an exciting new book for your adventure lovers to get their noses into, Amari and the Night Brothers, by BB Alston. The story revolves around Amari, a 13 year old girl whose older brother goes missing but leaves her a case with an invitation to The Bureau of Supernatural Affairs in it. Perfect for readers aged 8+ and fans of Percy Jackson, Nevermoor and Men in Black. The book is said to be such a good story that its being made into a movie as we speak!
SCREEN
Disney+ has just launched its new streaming service, STAR. Science Of Stupid is a TV Series dedicated to explaining why potentially dangerous and seriously stupid stunts go wrong. Prepare to wince your way through 8 seasons of people trying to do things without first understanding how the science behind it works. All seasons available to watch on STAR (Disney+) or National Geographic and with some episodes also available on You Tube.

It's easy to use with templates they can follow and pre created scenes and characters they can use for inspiration. It's a great tool for exploring the process of creative storytelling and coming up with imaginative ways to produce cool sound affects.
SUSTAINABILITY
Pinatex is a new material on the block. The unique, environmentally conscious and natural non-woven textile is made from the fibres of pineapple leaves! (which are usually discarded as waste in the process of harvesting the fruit) Created by Dr. Carmen Hijosa, it has won multiple awards and the fashion industry has sat up and taken notice. Pictured here is a shoe created by YY Nation, a New Zealand start-up hoping to take the world by storm. Currently they're only doing adult shoes, but it's only a matter of time before kids shoes follow. Watch this space! Too cool for school!
